At this time an anti-immigrant, anti-migrant backlash is being experienced in Europe. The Netherlands government has fallen on the issue. - Political parties challenging immigration policies have been voted into office, or hold the balance of power in Italy and Finland. In Austria, the Freedom Party, also challenging immigration numbers is leading in the polls. - Similar situation exists in Germany - An anti-immigrant political party is receiving increased backing in Sweden.

So how are Canadians feeling about the issue of immigration? We look at pre-Covid and post-Covid Canada with two IPSOS polls. 2019 IPSOS headline: Canadians becoming more nervous about immigration.
