KATRELIA JOHNSON of Aged Well Thrift Store is revolutionizing intergenerational connections by bridging the gap between youth and seniors. My mission stands out because our thrift store not only supports seniors but also invites customers to join the journey. Every third Sunday, we visit a nursing home, harnessing the wisdom of seniors. To preserve their insights, I've created journals to document their stories and words of wisdom. Also, I want to highlight that there are over 50% of residents that suffer from severe loneliness, and this is what inspired my two girls and me to make a difference, we started selling lemonade three years ago to buy gifts for them."
