The season is over but the work is just starting! 2022 was an epic year of firsts, the new regulations made a huge impact in Formula 1 and we shall see what the order ends up as next year. Max Verstappen and Red Bull ran away with the championships, but will Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes make the come back? The Jump the Start crew breaks down the year in the season recap episode! Its a wrap! Danke Seb, thank you Formula 1 for an amazing season. The battle for 2nd place went down to the final lap as Sergio Perez did his best to catch Charles LeClerc but couldn’t get it done. Congrats to Alfa Romeo on the 6th place finish besting Aston Martin after ending up tied in the standings. Also, we finally get an American Driver on the grid along with some announcements for Reserve Drivers…. Or Third Drivers I guess.

Guess what, HULKENBACK! Nico Hulkenberg is back as Haas is set to announce him as the driver alongside Kevin Magnussen for 2023. Beyond that we talk about the packages for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton officially becomes the greatest Brazilian driver ever, and other news. The Brazilian Grand Prix was packed full of action including a KMag pole position and complete domination from George Russell. It’s Max Verstappen versus the world going into the Abu Dhabi grand prix - Let’s Jump the Start! 

Formula 1 finds itself at the historic Interlagos track for the Brazilian Grand Prix. IS THAT GLOCK?? Still ringing out in the pits, the classic Lewis Hamilton moment from years ago. Max Verstappen and Red Bull look to continue dominating while Mercedes attempts to catch up with Ferrari. Set for an exciting race in Brazil once again.

The Formula 1 world descends on Mexico City and the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez. Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing are hit with the cost cap breach agreement penalties, Lewis Hamilton is sticking around for a few more years, and hopefully continues his war of words (and memes) with 2 time champ Fernando Alonso. Max Verstappen comes away with a victory and becomes the driver with the most wins in a season.

The constructors championship is over with Red Bull clinching it at the US Grand Prix due to the Max Verstappen's win. A lot of drama unfolded in Texas at the Circuit of the Americas with, yep, even Sebastian Vettel leading the race with Lewis Hamilton right behind him. Strange times indeed, oh yeah, and Brad Pitt!

Formula 1 is back this week after declaring Max Verstappen the drivers champion. This week we race in Austin at COTA in the good ol’ US of A, our home track! In this episode we preview the US Grand Prix, talk testing among young drivers, new procedures for wet races and…. Yeah still no F1 cost cap breach penalty. 

Lots and lots of drama coming out of the Japanese Grand Prix weekend. Safety issues galore along with the wet racing from qualifying through the race itself causing drivers to question the protocols. Singapore is back after a two year hiatus and it delivered a wet and wild race that was more reminiscent of a qualifying session with how many cars dropped out. Max Verstappen did not clinch the championship, but his team mate was able to take the W as we can start to call him the king of the streets! Beyond the track, there are a lot of rumors swirling about Aston Martin and Red Bull having breached the cost cap last season. What will the penalty be? The boys discuss that and more!
