Jumping The Shuttle: A Family Matters Podcast

Hopefully we can help you get through the holiday season and this FULL-LENGTH movie somehow from TWO THOUSAND AND TWENTY-THREE with our episode covering the animated feature Urkel Saves Santa: The Movie!.

Alex Diamond, David Kenny, and John McDaniel heard that the long-running network sitcom Family Matters ends with side character Steve Urkel going to space. And the best way to figure out how that happened - obviously - was to watch the last episode first and make our way backwards through nearly ten years of television.

What does my tattoo say? Audio! What does my tattoo say? Commentary! In this very special episode of the podcast, we provide an unsolicited commentary track for Dude Where's My Dog? the low-budget family film written by Family Matters writer Stephen Langford. You can sync it up to the movie -- available now on Tubi, of course!! -- but you probably shouldn't.

We did it. We accomplished ... something. What exactly we accomplished is up for debate in this, our last regular episode of the Family Matters watching era. Fasten your tethers tight... one. last. time.

Well, we did it. We finally made it through every single episode of Family Matters. But before we say goodbye, we’ve gotta recap Season 1. We’re talking highs, we’re talking lows, and we’re talking alternate cold opens. And, don’t worry, we’ll be back next week for an all encompassing send-off, shuttleboy style.

Why did we do this? What have we learned? How do you end a podcast? We answer fewer of these questions than you would expect as we watch OUR FINAL and THE FIRST episode of Family Matters.
