If you remember last week’s message, I noted that Enoch lived at a time when the world was increasingly neglecting and denying God. A sadder truth is that those who were godly failed to stand firm in their faith. Little by little they compromised their faith until their lives were indistinguishable from the ungodly. By co-mingling with unbelievers through marriage and association, the godly were pulled down to their level. Today, as we all know, we live in an age which is operating more and more in the same way. Evil and the ungodly seem to be on the increase in our culture and society. As believers, we are to remain separated from the world and its ungodly behavior.
