Welcome to another episode of the EBC’s Prayer Podcast. As mentioned earlier, our prayers throughout the year will be taken from the 66 books of the Bible. We began in the book of Genesis and will conclude in the book of Revelation.
Today, we are diving into the book of Obadiah. Our scripture will be taken from Obadiah 1:17, which reads: “But on Mount Zion, there shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.”
The Lord brings deliverance and holiness into our lives. He wants us to return to a state of purity and integrity in our covenant relationship with him. On Mount Zion, a place of divine promise and hope, there shall be deliverance for all saints, a deliverance from all struggles and challenges. This sacred ground will proceed with holiness, a purity that sets it apart and invites the faithful. The descendants of Jacob, representing the tribes of Israel, will cherish their rightful heritage, securing not just their land but also their identity and blessings.
The Lord is assuring us that, despite the trials we face, we can regain our rightful place and inheritance. For he is giving us deliverance from oppression and the ability to reclaim what has been taken from us.
Today, as we pray, let us reflect on resilience, faith, and divine justice, which remain significant in our lives today.
