For the sixth month of 1995, the boys search for the latest hidden gem…of a film !
Karen Ross (Laura Linney) works for the ruthless RB Travis (Joe Don Baker), whose telecommunications company longs for a very specific diamond that must be mined deep in the rainforests of central Africa. She assembles an eclectic team including mercenary Monroe Kelly (Ernie Hudson), philanthropist Herkermer Homolka (Tim Curry) and primatologist Peter Elliott (Dylan Walsh). The latter man is the key to this excursion, as Elliott’s prime subject is Amy, a mountain gorilla who has the ability to communicate with those around her. Will Amy’s skills translate well in the lost city of Zinj, where dangerous mutated gorillas command and kill those around them? Let’s find out as we trek into….Congo!
