Serving Jesus Christ

June 5, 2022 Sermon - Standing Alone

Listen Later

In this episode of Serving Jesus Christ, Pastor Swanson shares an inspirational Sunday Message titled,

Standing Alone

Seven generations from Adam, a man enters the scene who lives differently. That man was Enoch. By this time in history, very few individuals were serving and honoring God, which will make Enoch an abnormality in that regard.   Over time, men and women no longer followed and served God as they once did. As each generation entered history and failed to honor God, it caused society to spiral down.   Each time I read about Enoch, my eyes are drawn to the phrase, Then Enoch walked with God. The reason for his being translated directly into heaven is bound up in that phrase.
  1. Do our lives bear witness to and support the claim that we truly live holy and godly lives?
  2. Do we bear a powerful witness and testimony for the Lord at all times?
  3. Do our lives preach against the ungodly lives that people are living today?
Enoch was God’s testimony to the fact that those who walk with God in this life will also walk with God in a better life hereafter, thanks to the future work of the promised Seed.
