Previously, she served as Chief Financial Officer since 1986.  


    As a strategic resource, Maureen makes it her mission to “Guide and Inspire” her team and colleagues region wide. Recognized for helping shape and support South Florida’s HR profession, she serves on the President’s Council of the Human Resource Association of Broward County. She was inducted into its Hall of Fame in 2009.  


    Maureen was honored with the Enterprising Women of the Year Award, Leadership Broward’s Profiles In Leadership Award, Florida Diversity Council’s Glass Ceiling Award, and has received South Florida Business Journal’s CFO of the Year award. Recognizing her community leadership, the National Conference of Community and Justice presented her with its Silver Medallion Award, and she was inducted into Junior Achievement’s South Florida’s Business Hall of Fame. Right Management – Florida/Caribbean was named 2013’s Socially Responsible Corporation of the Year by the Casimiro Global Foundation.  


    Maureen has served on the Board of Trustees and the Finance committee for Holy Cross Hospital. She is a Leadership Broward Foundation alumna, a board member of the Institute for Advanced Catholic Studies at the University of Southern California and a member of the Board of Trustees for St. Thomas University. She has served on the finance committee of United Way of Broward.  


    A prominent insurance and HR executive before joining Right Management, Maureen was director of Recruiting for Mass Mutual Life Insurance Company and Lincoln National Life. Among many honors, while at Lincoln National Life she earned the “Recruiter of the Year” Award as the top recruiter in the nation. Her undergraduate degree is from Kean College in New Jersey.

Andrew graduated with degrees in Finance and Accounting from Elon University in 2005 and received his MBA in Entrepreneurship from Nova Southeastern University – Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship. Andrew began his full-time career with City Furniture in January 2006 in the Receiving Department unloading furniture on containers, and has worked his way up through the company and in almost all divisions of the company. He spent a significant time streamlining the Operations Department in the first 8 years of his career to become one of the industry’s best.   


    Currently, Andrew is serving as President of City Furniture, overseeing all departments of the business. Shortly before joining City Furniture, Andrew studied Lean Philosophy at Toyota’s headquarters in Toyota City, Japan. After learning from Toyota and other Lean companies in the United States and abroad, Andrew introduced Lean Thinking to City Furniture in 2007. Ever since, City Furniture has been on a Lean Journey to create a culture of mutual trust and respect, teamwork and a deep sense of urgency to continuously improve.   


    Since the implementation of Lean, the company has seen many major breakthroughs in turnover reduction, operational process improvement, customer experience, safety, associate satisfaction, strategic planning, financial success and much more.   The journey is never over and Andrew & Sr. Team are working very hard to implement Lean Thinking throughout the company which is now been renamed as “The City Furniture Operating System (CFOS).”   


    Andrew is extremely lucky to have 1 amazing wife Deana (who he met during his MBA) and 3 beautiful kids (Aaron 3, Daya 2, & Christian 1). Andrew is the son of Keith Koenig & nephew to Kevin Koenig, the founders of Waterbed City in 1971 which ultimately converted to City Furniture in 1994. Andrew currently serves as the Vice Chair on Junior Achievement's Board of Directors.

Through integrated public/private partnerships, 3DE uses case methodology to re-engineer learning and create academic environments that are more relevant, experiential, and authentically connected to life beyond the classroom walls.


    In 2015, Harris spearheaded the pilot launch of the first 3DE high school in one of metro Atlanta's highest-poverty and lowest-performing high schools, leading to a 47 percent increase in graduation rates and a 30 percent reduction in transiency in four short years. 3DE was incubated within Junior Achievement of Georgia, where Jack was President & CEO for 10 years, after initially joining the JA Worldwide organization as the Director of International Operations in 2002. Harris is currently leading the $55 million effort to expand 3DE to 55 schools by 2024, building to the long-term goal of 500 schools by 2030.


    Jack holds a degree in Politics and a certificate in Political Economy from Princeton University, and spent parts of his early career in both education and business. He serves on the Board of the Metro Atlanta Chamber, and is a member of YPO Southern 7. Harris often speaks on the role of public/private partnerships in education, and has been recognized for his work in education and economic development, being named one of Atlanta Business Chronicle's 40 under 40 in 2009 and one of Atlanta's Most Admired CEOs in 2017.

    Let's Get Cooking! This episode welcomes Rob Kornahrens, CEO & President of Advanced Roofing Inc. Rob was born in Long Island NY in 1957; he is the youngest of 4 boys. During High School he worked with a commercial roofing contractor, Triple M Roofing from Long Island. Every summer he would come back to Triple M Roofing and work on the roofs, until graduating in 1979 from the University of Arizona with a BS in Business Administration. This is where he became a rugby player. Upon graduating from the University of Arizona he had to make a decision to go into family business on long island manufacturing refueling equipment for airports or take a position with Triple M Roofing to open the new branch in Atlanta Georgia. Doing some research, he found out Atlanta had the Atlanta Renegades Rugby Club, one of the best rugby clubs in the Southeast United States, thus the decision to go to Atlanta.


    Rob was successful in Atlanta and the owner decides to move him to Fort Lauderdale to take over an existing operation. He was successful there as well, and in 1983 he decided to borrow $15K form his dad and buy a pick-up truck to start his own business. From that point on he focused on customer service in the commercial reroofing business and it has grown steadily for the last 35 years. They have been in the top 10 Commercial Roofing Contractors in the United States and #1 in Florida. Today Advanced Roofing has 7 branches throughout the State of Florida and employs approximately 500 people.


    In 2002, he was a Founding member of Roof Connect. Roof Connect is a National Organization of Roofing Contractors Independently owned and have their own service regions. There are 120 branches nationally serving many national accounts like; Walmart, Home Depot and Dollar General, etc. Rob presently sits on the Board of Roof Connect.


    In 2007 he started Advanced Green Technologies (AGT) as a solar distributor for a thin film solar panel, he also started his solar contracting business at the same time. Today AGT is the top commercial rooftop solar contractor in the State of Florida and recently completed two 2 Mega Watt Solar carports at Lockheed Martin (approximately 600 cars). The succession planning with Kevin and Michael is under way and they have purchased 2 roofing companies in the State of Florida to expand their geographic footprint and grow the Service, Air Conditioning, Lightening Protection, Roofing and Solar Business. Rob has positioned the company along with all his associates to have the best brand in the State.

    As the foremost buyer and seller of rural and recreational land in America, Mr. Patten has generated billions of dollars in land sales over the course of his career, which began in 1962.
