Jupiter reminds us to expand without losing balance, to seek meaning without becoming lost in illusion. It is about growth, wisdom, and trusting the journey.
Jupiter is the giant of our Solar System. It is made mostly of gas, mainly hydrogen and helium, similar to the Sun. It spins incredibly fast, completing a full rotation in less than 10 hours. That speed creates powerful winds, up to 500 km per hour, and massive storms like the Great Red Spot, which is so large that three Earths could fit inside it.
Because of its huge mass, Jupiter has a powerful gravitational pull. It helps protect Earth by attracting or deflecting asteroids and influencing the orbits of other planets. In this way, Jupiter contributes to the structure and stability of the Solar System.
In ancient times, Jupiter was associated with Zeus, the god of light and the sky. The name itself carries the meaning “Father of Light.” Nomadic cultures looked up at the sky and saw in Jupiter a guiding presence, a symbol of direction and purpose.
Psychologically and spiritually, Jupiter represents expansion, meaning, and the search for purpose. Humanity developed the idea that life must have direction, like a journey guided by a father figure in the sky. But the deeper lesson is this: purpose is not something outside of you that you must chase. It is something that unfolds through your growth.
