In this episode we sat down to chat with James White in the brand new MadeBrave studio here in Glasgow in Scotland (which is now complete with a new Just a Chat With neon sign!). James is an absolutely amazing and very well-known digital artist, designer, and speaker. He is also the founder of Signalnoise Studio which is based in Newcastle.  James has gained loads of recognition in the industry for his various neon-infused art projects. James has also worked with some amazing brands such as Toyota, Universal Music, Nike, Metallica, Warner Brothers, Twitch and many, many more.

In this episode we sit down to chat with Gavin Strange who is a Director & Designer at Aardman Animations who are the creators of Wallace and Gromit. Gavin also goes under the alias of JamFactory, working on side-projects from filmmaking to toy design and illustration to photography. Gavin's a keynote speaker, the 'annoying best mate' on CBBC's Art Ninja, and author of a book called 'Do-Fly' which we’ve just finished—it’s very good! Gavin has been working in design for 20 years and recently worked on “Shaun the Sheep: Farmageddon” which came out in theatres in October.

In this episode we sit down to chat with Claudine O’Sullivan who is a world-class artist and freelance illustrator. Recently moved from London to Glasgow, Claudine has gained the industry spotlight for her distinctive hand drawn illustrations, notably featured in the Apple Pencil launch campaign, which won a World Illustration Award in 2017. In this episode we sit down to chat with Viktorija Grigorjevaite and Marius Janciauskas, co-founders of Sane Seven which is an award winning portrait and advertising photography duo that formed in 2014. They’re well known for their creative portraits of philanthropists, entrepreneurs, and business leaders from brands like Tesco, Liverpool FC, Rolls Royce, Bentley, and many more. Sane Seven have also done work for the likes of Jimmy Choo and Simba Sleep for which they won MIFA’s “Advertising Photographer of the Year”. They’ve been named one of the 200 Best Ad Photographers Worldwide and have written a book called “None of Us Are Superman” , an inspirational business book which won a silver prize at the MIFA awards.

A multi-award winning designer, creative, writer, and speaker, Jack is the Founder and Creative Director at Jack Renwick Studio which is an independent branding and design agency based here in Whitechapel, in London. Jack has over 21 years of experience in creative, working for brands like Amnesty International, British Heart Foundation, Royal Mail, Stella McCartney, Prince Harry and Sir Elton John to name just a few. In 2012, Jack founded Jack Renwick Studio which, just this year has won several awards including Gold at the Drum Design Awards and two Silvers at the 2019 Fresh Awards, which was just earlier this month. Originally from Glasgow, Jack started her career at The Partners - now SuperUnion, spending 5 of her 13 years there as Creative Director. Together we discussed the challenges of starting a new business, work-life balance, and some advice from Jack on people who are just getting started in creative and design.
