In this episode, we hear from my half-brother Brandon Busby. He is a longtime fan of the podcast and has been dying to be a guest. He has a very interesting story. He tells us all about his childhood and the rough upbringing he endured (we had different mothers), as well as how he overcame it. He then tells us the fascinating story of how he got shot. Don't worry! He is fine. We then talk about a few other topics including a bit about MMA and dealing with anxiety and depression. Enjoy and give us feedback. We love hearing from our listeners! As always, check out our social medias on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!
In this episode, we talk with a great friend of ours, Aaron Keplinger. He is an avid cyclist, marathoner, and most recently, mountain climber. We discuss his plethora of hobbies and listen as he tells us his story of climbing Mt. Whitney, which has an elevation of 14,505 feet! We then talk about our upcoming camping trip. The four of us plan on taking a weekend to rough it (kinda) camping and possibly recording some bonus content. Finally, we talk about bullying, our experiences with it, and how we would deal with someone bullying our own child. This was a great episode to record and we hope you all enjoy it! This is a very special episode we have you all. We did a collaboration episode with the Manly Matters Podcast. It's hosted by Jesse Turner and I highly encourage you all to check out his podcast. He has some very great and knowledgeable guests on to discuss how we can become better, not just as men, but as people. Podcasting, Tribalism in the military, Suicides in the military and veterans, how we develop our identity, being good to others,
In this episode, we talk about a variety of topics. Some are related to the military and some are not. We start off talking about podcasting and some of the benefits we've noticed from our common hobby. Next, we talk about tribalism, particularly in the military. We then discuss suicide in the military and veterans, a more somber, but very important topic. We then discuss how people often develop their identities, whether through military life, sports, careers, etc. Lastly, we talk about the importance of being kind to others. It is never wrong to ask someone how they are really doing. Offer some troubles of your own in the conversation to encourage others to share. We are all winging it through life and anyone who says they have it figured out is lying.
New Facebook page for the podcast!!! Check it out for regular updates, posts that help our listeners get to know the hosts, and more! Enjoy and, as always, thanks for listening!
In the episode, we have the very energetic and positive Jen Olsen as our guest. She gives us her story and recent hobbies, which include streaming on Twitch (@jennyjoyo) and basket weaving. She then tells us when she had coronavirus. Her story was great to hear and encourages us all to wear our masks and do our part to get the nation past this pandemic. After recovering from the virus, it changed her outlook on life. She sought out new experiences and tried all the things she has always wanted to try, but never made the time. Her new outlook on life is inspiring. Lastly, we talk about our experiences with teaching. This included some funny stories and lessons learned. Enjoy! Then, we move into discussing some recent racial issues in our country, as well as some awful videos we've seen on social media involving racism. Next, we lighten things up by talking about some embarrassing moments in the bedroom. Sometimes we try to be smooth, but it just doesn't work out. In this episode, we had a blast with bodacious Stephen Tomilson. There were a ton of laughs and drinks! First, we talk about podcasting and Stephen's dream of podcasting. We then move into talking about guns. All things guns! This includes experiences with guns, gun control, self-defense, and proper training. This is a topic we found especially important given the rise in gun violence. Somehow, we end up on an idea I never knew what to call. That idea was the Dunning-Kruger Effect. Listen to learn what it is! Enjoy and check out our socials on Instagram and Twitter. We have a ton of bonus material on Patreon that's very easy to access!
In this episode, we have on a good buddy of ours, Matt Gleaton. He told us several stories of his childhood, including his years in Tajikistan, being home-schooled, and heavy religious experiences.
