Welcome Back to Just Audacity with Jourdan and Jordanaé!
Racist AF AND Thirsty AF? We have a lot to talk about. This week on Just Audacity, we’re unpacking Season 1, Episodes 3 and 4.
Should Molly have been the one to talk to Rashida just because they’re both Black? Could Jared have been a good fit for Molly? Was Daniel showing up at career day weird? And what did that couch really represent?
We’re also asking ourselves some tough questions. When your friend is venting, do they need a devil’s advocate or someone to just listen? How do you balance a day job with big dreams? And what’s your number, the amount you’d need to go all in on everything you want?
Rewatch with us, or just tune in for the unpacking!

This week on Just Audacity, we tackle a topic many of us tend to shy away from: jealousy in friendships. Inspired by a clip of Oprah declaring that “you can’t really be friends with anybody who has even a hint of jealousy,” we’re unpacking what jealousy actually looks like, where it comes from, and whether it has a place in healthy friendships.
Do you agree with Oprah, or do you think a little jealousy is a normal part of being human? We’re getting into what we were taught about jealousy growing up, our experiences navigating it on both sides of a friendship, and how we can learn to celebrate the people we love while working through our own insecurities.
We hope this conversation helps you reflect on your friendships, navigate jealousy with more self-awareness, and consider whether the presence of jealousy necessarily means a friendship has run its course.

As we both pursue our own solopreneur ventures, we were so excited to sit down with Ivy, founder of Liv Paper Co. We quickly learned that Ivy is an avid reader who has developed a practice of documenting her reading journey with multiple apps, journals, and notebooks. When her organization system started to feel a little less organized, she created a solution to her own problem: the Liv Paper Co. 2025 Reading Journal. It’s a stylish archive designed to help readers stay on track with their goals, reflect on their reading journey, and, best of all, record everything in one place.
In this conversation, we explore Ivy’s founder origin story and what keeps her motivated today. Ivy also reveals how the pursuit of perfection can actually be one of the most detrimental things in a solopreneur’s journey. She reminds us that making something exist and functional outweighs everything else. We hope you’re inspired by Ivy’s authenticity and reminded that you don’t need all the tools to start but audacity, hard work, and your unique point of view can go a very long way.

We bet you didn’t know that the woman behind some of the most swoon-worthy young adult romances is also a Publishing Marketer. We sat down with Ebony Ladelle as she gave us a look into the reality of a multi-hyphenate creative and professional. To our surprise she does not have any secret tips up her sleeve. Instead, she impressed upon us the importance of recognizing the cost of our choice: when you choose to give your time and energy to one thing, you inevitably have less to give somewhere else.
In this conversation with author, marketer, and editor Ebony LaDelle, we explore the many roles she balances, what currently deserves her attention, and the projects she hopes to pursue in the future. We hope you walk away from this conversation with the audacity to give your time where it’s needed and pull back where it’s not. Counting the cost is not about potential loss but being intentional about gains.
**During this episode Jourdan describes a psychological pattern where survivors of abuse are repeatedly attracted to partners who resemble their original abuser, this term is called Repetition Compulsion.

There is power, joy, and serious wealth creation when Black women support Black stories. But how do we ensure our culture’s storytellers get the representation, backing, and deals they truly deserve?
In this conversation with Senior Literary Agent LaSheera Lee, we explore the business of Black romance literature and the audacious steps required to elevate minority voices in publishing.
We hope you’ll listen and gain the audacity to step into spaces made for you, amplify marginalized voices, and build a career grounded in community.

This week, we are joined by Ms. Pansy for a much-needed conversation about money, taxes, and business structure for content creators and entrepreneurs.
For creators especially, this conversation makes one thing very clear: once your hobby begins generating income, it is time to start thinking like a business owner. Ms. Pansy breaks down the difference between a hobby and a business, why it is important to separate personal and business expenses, when to consider an LLC, what an S-Corp actually means, and how to approach write-offs without getting yourself in trouble.
As we begin turning our passions into profit, we do not have to know everything, but we do need to be willing to learn, ask questions, track our expenses, and build habits that support the legacy we say we want.
Grab your pen and paper, friend. It is time to start treating our content creation and side hustles like full-blown businesses.
