How to read French sentences (video)

Mollie send me a question by email, and asked me if Duolingo is a good option to learn French. You might be wondering too, because Duolingo is everywhere. Everyone seems to use it.

And yeah, it’s not bad.

Duolingo is a trust-worthy company, used by many language learners all over the world, some of whose happen to be my friends, and speak several languages. So it’s definitely not bad.

Or rather… using Duolingo won’t stop you from learning French.

Is learning French useful ? That’s an excellent question. One that a lot of French learners have to face. Especially young people.

I know because I see it in my YouTube comments. Every week I have comments along the lines of “ French is useless anyway”, “ don’t learn French, learn this other language”,…

And it annoys me, because it is such a narrow-minded view of the purpose of languages.
