Tony, like his father comes from a long line of horseman from the Darling Downs. Early on Tony loved horses and the racing industry.

Building a successful career and winning Brisbane Premierships whilst being located in Toowoomba and the Gold Coast.

Tony has seen the highs and lows in racing. His "Spirit Horses" #Spiritofboom and #Templeofboom catapulted him on the national map. Spirit of Boom raced against the invincible #BlackCaviar, Hey List and Buffering.

Tony has now won 7 premierships in a row and has one of the largest stables located in Brisbane.

When asked what is the one race he wants to win, His response, That's easy the Stradbroke.

Sam was wonderful player for the #NorthMelbourneKangaroos in a era where the club had great success. Sam along side the Galloping Gasometer Mick Nolan in the ruck for the mighty #Kangaroos.

Sam went on to have a successful career in the media with such things as the appearance on the #THEPHAT and of course as the #LambAmbassador which to this day is the longest running campaign in Australia.

Sam is a forthright individual, a son of Yugoslavian parents the migrated to Western Australia and farmed tobacco.

Welcome to this episode of Just Havin a Crack, this week we speak to Wallaby and Reds great Andrew Slack.

Andrew is very modest when it comes to his achievements on the rugby field. He was a tremendous footballer captaining the Wallabies to a Grand Slam victory in 1984 and a Bledisloe Cup series victory over the mighty All Blacks in 1986. In fact that side is the last Wallaby side to taste victory on Eden Park.

Andrew went on to be a respected journalist and media personality. From hard working parents to Wallaby victory Andrew Slack is a great of Australian Rugby.

Welcome to this episode of Just Havin a Crack. Today we feature from State of Origin Legend and Kangaroo Trevor "The Axe" Gillmeister.

Gilly was a tackling machine, he renowned for his perfect low technic which he would bring them down like trees hence his nickname "The Axe".

Trevor grew up in a humble hard-working family and rugby league was his chosen sport. In fact, his father built the clubhouse (OLD) at Banyo Football Club (The Bora Ring).

Trevor and the family moved around following work when he was young. When the family returned to Brisbane, he joined Northern Suburbs the mighty devils. Well, you could say the rest is history.

Brisbane Football, NRL, State of Origin, Kangaroo, coach and media personality Gilly has achieved it all.

Welcome to this episode of Just Havin a Crack with Perry Cross, PERRY & SUPERMAN.
Before you dive into this episode take a moment to think about this. Perry  Cross had a serious spinal injury whilst playing rugby. Perry injured his C2 vertebrate which is the second bone in your neck closest to your skull. 
Perry is completely paralysed from the neck down and needs a ventilator to breathe.
His journey is both inspirational and also extremely heartbreaking. 
Perry takes us back to the day of the accident and then the fight for life, the rehab through to taking the situation head-on and making a huge difference on this Planet

Welcome to this episode of Just Havin a Crack with Jason Akermanis.

Jason is an AFL legend, playing over 320 games, 3 Premierships with the Brisbane Lions, Brownlow Medial Winner and Four-time all Australian.

Aker was best known for his openness in the press, speed across the ground like no other and off course handstands after winning home games.

Behind all this was a kid growing up with not a lot, a hard-working mother that didn't have a lot of time to spend at home. It was Aker and one of his brothers Rory who formed an incredibly close bond.

Aker fought for everything, nothing came to Aker cheaply. No handouts, no help.

Growing up and being hyperactive Aker turned to sport as his way of managing himself. Cricket, AFL and Athletics. 

This story and the more we got to know Aker became larger and more powerful. You see underneath everything is a deep-thinking, empathetic and fiercely loyal proud man.

In someway Aker needed to have this journey to get him to where he is in life now.

Aker owns everything, there is no running away.

This week talk to an AFL great, 350 games & AFL Hall of Fame member Doug "Hawk" Hawkins.

Doug is a charismatic larrikin with a fierce determination. Doug is old-school growing up in the tuff Western Suburbs of Melbourne. Braybrook where footy and cricket were his passions, like all Aussie kids. Doug just happened to be an exceptional AFL footballer.

Doug play predominantly for Footscray Football Club and had a close association with the great EJ Whitten who just happened to be a Braybrook local as well.

Doug learnt very quickly how to mix it with the best of his era, he was very quick-witted and very much the larrikin. Underneath that, was a fierce determination and pride of who he was and who he represented. He loved the Footscray Football Club.

This podcast you will laugh but you will also see another side of Doug that you wouldn't expect. I guess that's what Just Havin a Crack is about. Telling stories that you wouldn't expect.

Today Banger and Blakey speak to former Australian women's cricketer Joanne Broadbent (OAM). Jo is a pioneer in her sport. Growing up in Adelaide playing cricket in the back yard with her friends a typical Aussie childhood.

Jo went on to represent Australia at Test and One-Day level with great results. Averaging over 109 with the bat, scoring a test double century and playing in front of 60,000 women and girl in a world cup final in India.

Think about that for a second, a women's sporting event with 60,000 spectators! That would rival an Olympic 100 or 200m final or a women's world cup soccer final.

Jo is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to cricket and has strong family values. Jo isn't just a pioneer in women's cricket she is a pioneer in women's sport.

3 CUPS and a SHEIKH

We talk to Kerrin McEvoy who is currently preparing for the spring racing carnival. Kerrin was up at 3 am the morning we recorded this podcast. The life of a jockey isn't an easy one, but Kerrin's story is a story of greatness. A 49 kg giant.

Winning his first Melbourne Cup (2000 Brew) at 19 Kerrin's life was catapulted into the hemisphere of opportunity. Kerrin was contacted by Godolphin (Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum) the most powerful name in horse racing to come to ride for him in Europe, Dubai and also to ride in Australia (Then Darley).
This is not your average riding gig. Kerrin had a long association with Godolphin. Legging up on the best horses you can imagine ( Dubawi, Sharmadal, Denman, Sepoy, Helmet). 

In 2013 Kerrin decides to go Freelance and leave Godolphin where his career continues to shine winning 2 Everest's on Redzel.

Family man, elite jockey Kerrins life is not average.
