Clarissa is originally from Queens, NY. She has raised two sons who are now adults, one being a second-generation college graduate. She did not allow the fact that she was a teen mother to dissuade her from achieving her education or professional goals. Clarissa earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from VCU and is currently working in the mental health field as a Qualified Mental Health Professional. Clarissa is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Human Service Counseling with a focus on Marriage and Family at Liberty University. She is passionate about the effects of trauma through generations and desires to be an instrument for healing in families. After having more than 20 years of experience mentoring, counseling, encouraging, and supporting women and families, Clarissa became a Certified Life Coach. Clarissa is also a foster parent with a desire to support teen girls aging out of the foster care system. She is driven to help other women discover who they have always been by healing from past trauma, realizing their passions, and walking boldly in their uniquely designed purpose. Having overcome several obstacles in her own life, Clarissa believes she is better equipped to help those who experience similar challenges in their lives. She is an encourager by nature and has known for a long time that it was her purpose to encourage women of all ages. Clarissa believes that effecting positive change in other’s lives is her ultimate purpose.

Clarissa is the CEO of Purposed by Design Coaching and Consulting, LLC, providing 1:1 coaching, group coaching, public speaking, and various workshops. She is also the Founder of Lifelines to Success, a 501 (c)3, Non-Profit Organization, where she provides enrichment programs and services to the community. Clarissa founded Let’s Talk Women’s Life Empowerment Group in 2017 for women over 30. This group gives women who have been everything to everyone else and nothing to themselves the opportunity to focus on their dreams, ideas, and passions. Clarissa began hosting the annual Visualizing Your Success Vision Board Experience in 2018. Clarissa hosted the 1st Lifelines to Success Family Empowerment Conference in 2019. Clarissa is an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc where she serves as the Domestic Violence Chair for the Richmond Chapter, Alpha Phi Zeta. Clarissa currently resides in Midlothian, VA where she is enjoys spending time with her family and being active in the community.

Clarissa became a published author in October 2020 with her first book “Purposed by Design Journal of Prayers and Affirmations: 52 Weeks of speaking life through God’s word” where her hope is that people learn the power of their words in creating the life they desire.

Aanandha Sharurajah is the founder and chair of Atos Wellness Group, a top beauty, spa, and wellness company based in Singapore. In 2012, as the company was reaching its peak of
success with $35 million in group sales per year, he suffered a debilitating stroke that rendered his right side paralyzed. Refusing to resign himself to a tragic fate, Aanandha harnessed a forward-looking perspective and began a journey of self-discovery toward recovery.
