Black Garnet Books is a Black, woman-owned bookstore located in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, primarily stocking Adult and YA contemporary literature by Black and racially-diverse authors. They are incredibly excited to introduce everyone to underrepresented voices and stories, new and old, that support and affirm the cultures they're connected to!

This weeks minority business is The Chroma Network founded by Daneshé Tyler (UPENN '20)

The Chroma Network is a women of color owned and operated platform pushing young women to develop from the inside-out in the areas of career, mindset, and style through a host of accessible online resources. The grand majority of career-oriented advice is geared towards women well advanced in their careers. As wonderful as this is, We believe that it is never too early to seek out the resources that you need to show up as your best and most prepared self 24/7. From your self-esteem to the way you put your outfit and makeup look together, our inner and outer worlds are constantly affecting one another. By affording ourselves the best of the best, we can only expect a positive return.

This week we say her name: Breonna Taylor

Breonna was murdered by the Louisville Police Dept on March 13th. Justice has not been served. Continue to fight for Breonna and all the innocent lives lost from police brutality, negligence, racism, and the oppressive systems that allow this to continue happening and without consequence.
