Amy Miles grew up knowing she was adopted, but what she didn't know was that she was a survivor of a failed abortion. 

Amy was already a mother herself when she learned the shockingly horrific truth of her birth. 

Overcoming a mixture of emotions, she found comfort and a newfound purpose in what God had foreseen for her life.

Finding the Abortion Survivors Network led her to new friends and commonality where she could share her mixed emotions and wrap her mind around what she had learned about herself.

My guest today is Josh Marcengill.
is the founder of Abundant Encounters, an online ministry that helps Christians embrace an encounter lifestyle like Jesus Christ revealed to us. Josh discusses how we have been invited into this as our inheritance on the earth. 

Josh shares his experience as an atheist who tried to take his life- But God came to him and steered him to a different direction.

Set aside an intentional time to think back to when you have encountered God… maybe even before you were a believer. I had deep encounters when my husband Howard had his brain tumor…miracles throughout, but a richness I had never experienced before.

Again, when I asked for the gift of tongues and God came through- a gift I still appreciate.

He was right beside me, comforting me the three times I miscarried.
And again when I entrusted my granddaughter who was kidnapped by her father and brainwashed into believing my daughter had repeatedly abused her sexually.

God is faithful, my friends. He’s always with us- with you and with me. His love never fails.

David's wife, Lisa, and he raised their two daughters, Kayla and Bethany, in rural Maine. 

They hunted, fished, foraged for wild edible plants, went camping in remote and undiscovered places, grew gardens, raised livestock, and preserved their own food.

Lisa was a homeschooling/homesteading mom, and David was a self-employed logger. 
As an unintended consequence of this lifestyle, we were all bitten by dozens of ticks. 

About the time their girls were in their mid-teens the whole family had become desperately ill with Lyme Disease, along with a whole host of complications. 

For years he served in the church, first as a deacon, and then as an elder. 

He has long been a self-taught student of Theology and philosophy and has learned all the correct answers to some of the most difficult questions, and can hold his own as a Christian apologist and Theologian. 

But when his family's health fell apart, he discovered something that the books do not teach: that there is a sharp disconnect between an encyclopedia of head knowledge, and an application of that knowledge in the muddy and bloody trenches. 

It is there that his book was conceived.

The impact caused the car that Calvin was a passenger in to burst into flames, plunging him into a clouded existence that included a walk through the valley of the shadow of death, leaving him on the threshold of eternal life.
