Nelson also explains why he didn't immediately jump at the opportunity to work for Microsoft, his role at Promethium Marketing, and there's even a little chat about the future of the video game industry. This one has it all. Enjoy.

Nancy Schwartzman, this week's guest, is one of the co-founders of the Circle of 6 App. This app is designed to empower users in situations that could lead to sexual assault to get help from friends, family, or emergency services in their area from a few simple actions on your smartphone. Nancy elaborates on the app's origins, its reception, and possible expansion. After 152 episodes of this podcast, I finally feel that I'm doing some good with this little experiment. If you only listen to one episode of my podcast, this is it. Enjoy.

Wendy Rose joins me this week for a proper appearance on the podcast. After chatting with her at Roche's Social Media Summit, I knew I had to get her on so she could tell her story. Prepare for talk about her life as a registered nurse, why being a nurse may not have been the best thing when her daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, the value of the diabetes blogs through the eyes of a mother, and the next generation of the diabetes online community. Enjoy.

The best laid schemes of mice and men go often awry. Sometimes a scheduled podcast does not go as expected and I have to make a call to my "bullpen" of guests - in case of emergency. This week Terrence Chambers spends a few minutes talking about his most anticipated games of the Fall 2012 season, what made NFL 2K5 the eternal classic that it is, his adventures in amateur photography, and life in Texas. Spoiler alert - it's really hot down there. Enjoy.

Joining me this week is Rob Müller from Roche Diagnostics. You might remember a previous podcast recorded at Roche's Social Media Summit, we talk about its origins. You might wonder how Roche first got involved in the diabetes online community - we talk about that too. You might be curious as to what would lead a man to move away from Southern California - that gets covered too. And you might also wonder when Rob's music (in case you didn't know, he's quite the musician) will be available on iTunes and Spotify - don't worry, we have plenty to talk about with respect to his music. Enjoy.

If you follow the professional basketball then you were likely quite entertained by the NBA Finals featuring the Miami Heat and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Hopefully you remember a time when the Thunder were called the Seattle Supersonics. My guest this week, Jason Reid, is quite familiar with this fact. He's directed and produced a documentary called 'Sonicsgate' that details the events that led to the Supersonics becoming the Thunder. We spend most of the podcast talking about 'Sonicsgate', but there's also conversation about the process of making a documentary, Jason's other projects, and we finish up with some general Seattle sports talk. Enjoy.

About four months ago I created a make-shift standing desk at my job. Naturally I told Twitter about my joining the standing desk revolution. This tweet earned a virtual fist bump from a company called UpDesk based in Nashville, Tennessee. The person behind that tweet is Kamron Kunce, UpDesk's Director of Social Media. We spend the hour talking about the standing desk revolution, the growing technology sector in the middle of the country, and his approach to community outreach. Enjoy.

I got to participate in Roche's Fourth Social Media Summit last week. Naturally I brought my handled recorder and chased down some of the other attendees to come on the podcast. The next hour covers a range of perspectives on the relationship between pharmaceutical companies and patients, diet soda, the future of DSMA, and much, much more. Enjoy.
There were a number of participants in this week's podcast. If you want to follow any of them on Twitter, here you go (in order of first appearance).
