We are finally back! We haven’t posted an episode since Thanksgiving of 2021, so we are very excited for you to be a part of this conversation! Mike and Carson cover a wide variety of topics, from all of the staff transitions in our church to the conflict in Ukraine, Mike’s new book that is coming on March 15th, and some practical ways we can navigate change no matter where we are! We are excited to be back in a rhythm of posting new content and hope that you will join us as we begin to prepare for summer and all that is to come!

We often don’t see these ideas as things that are connected but through this conversation we can begin to see how deeply connected they are and how to begin taking steps to prevent them from ruling our lives. 

In the episode Mike gives us two definitions for fear and pride:

Pride: The idea that you have to have your own value and that you must prove it and portray it. 

Fear: Anxiety that is produced when the thing before us threatens what it is that we value

Mike and Carson talk about what accountability really means and why it is so important to get it right. Accountability is not about making people the way we think they should be, but rather being willing to be in close relationships with people in effort to build each other up into the people we are called to be.
