That's a situation where, jumping ship sometimes in the first six months ain't always a good decision. You're going to find out that they are usually all the same. The same personalities, same type of things that happen, the same type of pay, same type of truck, etc... It's just a just a different sticker on the side, you know. And sometimes it's not what happens, It's how you fix it. So if something was bad like a trainer, its not that it happened, but its how the company fixes it. Give the company an opportunity or chance to make things right. Or all your doing is making your resume look bad by having so many jobs in a short period of time, and that hurts your ability to make more money later. -Shawn Davis

So why would someone even want to get started in the trucking industry? -Cilla Davis

Well, I mean, right now, you know, in 2021 making this video. And in the last 12 months, there has been a 30 to 35 percent increase in pay across the board in the last 12 months in the trucking industry, which is a bigger increase than the last 12 years. The ability to go out there and make a good living for the past 12 years has been good in the industry, as I've done it. However, right now, it's even more easier. The money that, a student can make of fresh out of school is more than I was making with experience, 10 years ago. -Shawn Davis

A lot of people have a picture of their children on their phone, computer wallpaper, or dash of a vehicle, which is great. Here's the issue with that. Your kids are getting older. Whatever picture you have on there is no longer the vision.That's what already happened. You have to create a vision of what you want your family to look like and what do you want it to be. So it's cool to have pictures as reminders, but that's not your vision board. Yeah, that is a reminder. I'm not saying remove that. That's great, but you need something else to nourish the vision. You don't work for the purpose to just keep working. You work for the purpose of retiring. So cut out that picture of the condo in Miami and put it in your car, put it in your truck and look at it. Look at the vacation spot that you want to go and you're going to get some time. I'll look at the colleges that you elect to send your child to.
