Economics is really the study of human action and one thing that we do know is that individuals act!  We don't know why they act but we know they act as a means to pursue an end!  Liberals/Keynesian really go off the rails when they use studies and models to justify government action because of confusing correlation with causation! Economics is not a hard science and human behavior can't be modeled like Keynesian economists like to think!

Ben Bernanke recently was interviewed about the economy and he's completely clueless to what's going on out there!  Of course this is no surprise to many of us of the Austrian persuasion but it's revealing!  Justin plays a clip from Bernanke in 2005 where he doesn't see any problem with the housing market whatsoever! The same arguments he made then, he's making now!  Ben Bernanke makes these comments while we are on the doorstep of the largest financial crisis ever in the United States of America!  The sad reality is, most people are clueless just like Ben Bernanke.  All this and much more on this episode!

Justin talks about the CNBC republican debate and wow was that debate horrible!  The bias was so transparent and the questions asked were designed to destroy these candidates!  The three, political hack moderators weren't successful in there mission to destroy these guys and in this episode, I play several clips from the debate to show how horrible this debate was!  This episode gives you a feel for what happened at the debate if you didn't have two hours to spare to watch it.

Dr. Peter St. Onge talks about what truly makes land valuable and breaks it down to basic economics.  Peter also talks about government regulations and why they don't work!  Peter argues that tort law actually works much better than any government regulations ever could!  Also discussed is the idea that a more educated society leads to less crime. John Tamny gets into the economics of Donald Trump's tax plan and the many flaws that it has. He also talks about Ben Bernanke and the lesson he failed to learn from the Great Depression!  Bernanke can't possibly understand the lessons from the Great Depression because he doesn't understand what happened in the forgotten depression of 1920-1921! Politicians today love to pander to the poor and they like to tell us what they can do to help the poor!  The problem is, these guys don't help the poor!  The poor today live better than kings did just a few hundred years ago!  This prosperity has come from increases in productivity and this is all a result of capitalism! A rising tide lifts all boats and when more products are produced and more efficiently produced, prices come down!  We need more capitalism and a free market and less government!
