June 16, 2019Embracing Fatherhood: When Life Throws You A CurveballOn today’s episode I will be talking with a good friend on fatherhood. This man is a great example of what fathers are suppose to do and how to persevere. He went from co-parenting to being a full time dad in December 2017 after losing the mother of his 11yr old son from cirrhosis of the liver. While battling his own health issues, he is still pushing through and taking care of business. He will be letting the world in on his life and how the changes have made an impact on his life. Often times we don’t hear stories about how the single fathers are stepping up and handling their business so today’s episode is dedicated to them. Please take a listen to his story. As always, thank you for tuning in to JustNTine!...more9minPlay
June 05, 2019So That's How You Feel? Rules Don't APPLY to You? Today's episode is about an encounter I faced this past weekend with racism. I know I have spoken in racism many times but as long as it is still alive I will continue to speak on it! As long as I keep experiencing it I will speak on it! It’s disheartening to know that racism will never end and it looks as if we’re reverting back to 40’s/50’s. I just don’t understand why people think that rules don’t apply to them and when they’re called out on it they turn it into a racial issue with calling people out of their names, threatening to call the police, flashing guns, etc. I believe the statement right is right, wrong is wrong wholeheartedly. If you’re wrong I will continue to address it. This show is specifically my personal experience so there may be explicit language. As always thank you for listening and supporting JustNTine, it’s greatly appreciated!Sent from my iPhone...more19minPlay
May 30, 2019For the LOVE of FEAR and THREAT Living in Fear: What Are We To Do? Who Is Protecting Us?Today’s episode are my thoughts on how we as African American are treated in America and it’s getting worse by the day. From facing racism from the citizens on a daily basis to being killed by police officers who is suppose to be here to protect us. We as a race live in fear everyday! It has come to the point where we have to think about having the necessary equipment to prove our innocence (body cameras, video, etc). What are we to do? How are we suppose to feel? These are just my thoughts on what I have been observing. Some may or may not agree with what I’m speaking about but we can agree to disagree. As always, thanks for listening to JustNTine!...more21minPlay
May 28, 2019Teach the Youth''s how to handle CRITICISM!!!!!!!!Tonight’s episode is about handling criticism. There are many people that can receive criticism and take it as something to learn from and make themselves better but there are also many that cannot take criticism and they be ready to argue/fight because they receive as being hated on or disrespected in a sense. It all depends on the type of person you’re dealing with. Well listen up, criticism is not always negative. There are many types of criticism and I’m just going to give you insight on how criticism can help you. Please know these statements are my opinions and thoughts. You may or may not agree but it’s what I know from my experience. There may be explicit language but please do not get offended. As always, thanks for listening to JustNTine!...more12minPlay
April 29, 2019Hold Up: Is Your SOURCE Reliable?Tonight’s episode is about the what we should think about when we receive information. Whether it’s from a person, books, internet, tv, etc. One should always think or say to themselves, “Is this source reliable”. Most people often take the things they hear or see and run trying to tell another person about it and twist the actuality of it all the way around to fit their perspective and it can be all the way wrong. We need to take the time out to really think about the things that are being said to us by someone. That goes for work, personal, etc. Ask yourself, Is the source a reliable source? These statements are my opinions and thoughts. There may be explicit language but please do not get offended. As always, thanks for listening to JustNTine!...more20minPlay
April 19, 2019Dont Settle:Break the CycleThis episode is about settling and breaking the cycles whether it’s in relationships, jobs, etc. I believe there are many people that settle for less knowing that there is something better out there for them but they don’t have the patience to wait their blessing. I’ve seen it with my own eyes. If you want something that is lasting and great, be patient, great things take time. Again these are my opinions from my observations. There may or may not be explicit language but as always thanks for tuning in to JustNTine!...more21minPlay
April 12, 2019Fatherhood: Leave your Pride and Bring your PresenceToday’s episode is about Fatherhood. Thoughts are shared about the effects that fathers really have in the lives of their children. Some may have a different opinion and that is fine. I am speaking from experience, to have a father present and not present. Being there, showing the child(ren) support, letting them know that you will always be there has a lasting impression on them. It’s not always about the money. Truth be told, a children don’t remember the amount of money being spent but they do remember who is/was there for time. At what point do we as fathers put our pride to the side and be present in our children’s lives? Take time out to spend time with your children. Please keep in mind these are personal opinions and we can agree to disagree but I am speaking from experience. This can be a sensitive subject so there may or may not be explicit language used so please don’t be offended. As always, thank you for tuning in to JustNTine!...more22minPlay
April 06, 2019Dear School Systems, Stop itThis episode is about the school system and the lack of accountability. I am expressing my thoughts on how the system is broken and they’re not being held accountable for the things that are happening within the schools. In reality, We set standards for the children to meet but are the schools meeting the standards that are set for them? I think not! Are the teachers there to teach or be friends with the children? Are they monitoring the classrooms as the should? Why aren’t our children being protected? Again this is my opinion being that I am in the education field. There may or may not be explicit language used so please done be offended. As always, thank you for tuning in to JustNTine!...more25minPlay
