Ellen Craine is in private practice as a licensed clinical and macro social worker in the State of Michigan. She owns Craine Counseling and Consulting Group and has over 25 years of experience working with couples, families, groups, and individuals in a variety of capacities.
She has been a divorce and family mediator and parenting coordinator working with high conflict co-parents to improve their ability to co-parent more effectively. Ellen Craine is a relationship and life coach incorporating success principles with her social work experience.
Ellen Craine served on the Michigan-National Association of Social Workers ethics committee for approximately 13 years and was the committee’s chairperson for one year. Utilizing this experience and passion around ethics, Ellen also provides ethics consultations for social workers utilizing the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics and a model she developed to help navigate the social work ethics maze.
Ellen Craine is an effective trainer and educator. She teaches a variety of continuing education classes around ethics for social workers including: informed consent and telehealth, subpoenas, loss and grief, custody and co-parenting issues, and success principles for social workers and others. She has presented workshops for Michigan-National Association of Social Workers, Michigan State University, Eastern Michigan University, and others.
