There are things that Christians attribute to God or attribute to the Scriptures that just aren’t there. It contributes to bad theology. Theology is the study of God and it is very important to know what is taught by the Bible and what is not. Pastor Marty teaches through a few different topics in this Bible study. 

We are called to walk in the light and not in darkness. This week, from chapter 2 of 1 John, John challenges these early Christians to grow in their faith. What we love is what we will become. It’s important to understand that we should not love the world. This message will clarify that idea and encourage you in your faith.

The pattern in the book of Judges is that Israelites go in and out of captivity. In Judges 3 the people cry out for rescue and Ehud is sent to the enemy king. He assassinates the enemy king with a foot long dagger that got stuck inside the stomach of the fat enemy king. It’s a very interesting story. Listen in and let us know if you have any questions. 

We begin our study of 1 John together as we look at the key points of the book as a whole. We see how John was confronting the heresy of the Gnostics and how, as Christians, we are called to walk in the light.
