Tonight I talk briefly about a kiirtan I wrote n the 70s' and how young players are discovering it and giving it new life, while for some of us, it represents a time in our lives long ago. Yet some of us who have been on the spiritual path for a long time are also discovering new things about ourselves  and the world. I see us all as being on the same path, just at different points.  

Tonight I speak with Madhumita, musician and naturopath, about homeoprophylaxis, something that many of us have not heard of. I end with a kiirtan that the Kiirtan Academy members are collaborating on. I call it January winter Kiirtan, as it came to me a few days ago on a cold January morning.  

Kavita talks about the beauty and complexity of the Rarhi (North east India) khol drum tradition and its spiritual significance for the Rarhi drummer.  She also talks about the role of women in Rarhi kiirtan and how she was inspired to perform.  She ends by playing  and saying the bols of the first ever khol pattern that she learnt.

Tonight Didi Ananda Prama speaks about attracting what we want into our lives with the power of our positive  thought and avoiding the opposite. She also shares her goals for this year, something very special to celebrate the 100th anniversary of P. R. Sarkar's birth.
