Today’s K-Pop Musician is songwriter "김도훈(Kim Do-hun)". In 1998, 김도훈(Kim Do-hun) debuted as a music arranger, by arranging 장혜진’s '영원으로'. In 2002, he officially debuted and started to become known through S.E.S’s follow-up track ‘Just A Feeling’. He then wrote tons of hit songs such as SG Wannabe’s ‘죄와벌(crime and punishment)’, 씨야’s ‘사랑의 인사(Lovely sweet heart)’, and IU’s ‘Marshmallow’. Along with 조영수 and 박근태, he is one of the songwriters that lead the Korean ballad renaissance period. He is known for his wide music spectrum, and has worked on slow ballads such as 이승기’s ‘하기 힘든 말(words that are hard to say)’, R&B ballads such as 휘성’s ‘결혼까지 생각했어 (Even though of marriage)’, and dance songs such as G.NA’s ‘Black & White’. Today’s K-Pop Musician is "이달의 소녀(LOONA)". Starting from October 2016, 이달의 소녀(LOONA) received attention for their unique debut project. One member was revealed each month, and when several members were revealed,they came out as unit groups. And when 3 unit groups came together,이달의 소녀(LOONA) was formed. Their [X X] album climbed back up the iTunes overall genre, K-Pop genre, and pop genre chart in the US and reached #1, making them the third Korean girl group to hold this record. He then went on an audition segment for a radio, and got to record his single album then. After that, he went on every season of Superstar K, but he was never shown on air. When he was on <스타 오디션 위대한 탄생 3 (The Great Birth 3)>, that’s when he was first introduced to the public. He debuted in 2014 through his single album ‘커피 한 잔 할래요 (Coffee With Me)’. They are the Korean boy group that debuted on June 13th, 2013. After growing together with the ARMY, they have become global super stars. 방탄소년단(BTS) has set countless records, such as being the first Korean artist to perform at the 3 biggest music awards in America. They are also known for their positive influence, which they have shown through their UN speech, and their LOVE MYSELF campaign. On June 10th, they came out with their anthology album ‘Proof’, which includes 9 years of their history. On the day of its release, they sold 2.15 million albums which made them instant double million sellers. Plus, they have been sweeping the global charts and breaking new records! The biggest boy band in the world! The pop icons of the 21st century! Today, we will be diving into 방탄소년단(BTS)‘s music~

Today’s K-Pop Musician is "백예린(Yerin Baek)

Ever since she was young, 백예린(Yerin Baek) received attention for her solid skills, vocalization and vocal tone. She applied to the 1st JYP open auditions, won 2nd place, and started her trainee life. In 2012, she made her debut through 14& with Jamie Park. Since then, she has released solo albums with her own style of music, established her label , and is currently the frontman and singer-songwriter of the band The Volunteers. She can sing any genre with her own sentiment, and is praised for her singing skills, and interpretation of songs. She is the musician we trust to listen to, and the artist who has been receiving love for 10 years. Today, we will be diving into 백예린(Yerin Baek)’s music.

Today’s K-Pop Musician is "GOT7(갓세븐)" On January 16th 2014, the ‘7 people who got lucky’, GOT7(갓세븐) made their debut. At first, they did hip hop-style music, but now, they do many different genres. After their contract with their previous company ended, they released the song ‘Encore’ and shot down their disbandment rumors. By maintaining their team name, they are proving that K-Pop idols can promote ‘both together and individually’. Recently, GOT7 released their new song after 1 year and 2 months, and they have been dominating the charts in various countries. Today, we will be diving into GOT7’s music.

Today’s K-Pop Musician is "신혁(Hyuk Shin)". In early 2004, 신혁(Hyuk Shin) released his 1st album Soar and debuted as a singer songwriter. After that, he went to the States to attend the prestigious Berklee School of Music. And in 2009, he made a team with songwriter Sean Hamilton and made it to #16 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart by producing Justin Bieber’s single ‘One Less Lonely Girl’. Currently, he is the head of the music production Joombas Music Factory, which writes hit songs not only for K-Pop, but for singers all around Asia. Through Mnet’s survival program ‘WIN’ in 2013 and ‘Mix and Match’ in 2014, 아이콘(iKON) made their debut in the spotlight.\ As the talented team that debuted after a long wait, every single song on their debut album was self-written. Their pre-release song ‘취향저격(MY TYPE)’ swept the charts as soon as it was released, and they really showed their monster rookie sides. That year, they won various rookie awards and showed the team’s popularity. Since the team has gone through many hardships together, they have a very tight-knit relationship, which is why they also have many fan songs for their fans that have been by their side. Today’s K-Pop Musician is "블랙아이드필승(B.E.P.)". 블랙아이드필승(B.E.P.) is the producing group with 최규성 and 라도 who were both born in 84. The first song by them which was a hit was 허각’s Hello. Afterwards, the first title track that they wrote was Sistar’s ‘Touch My Body’ in 2014. Afterwards, they got to work with JYP through miss A’s ‘다른 남자 말고 너 (Only you)’. They wrote many hit songs for them such as GOT7’s ‘니가 하면(If You do)’. Other hit tracks that they have wrote are Apink’s ‘1도 없어(I’m so sick), 청하’s ‘벌써 12tl(Gotta Go)’, TWICE’s FANCY, 환불원정대’s debut track ‘DON’T TOUCH ME’ and more.
