Today is Ashada Ekadashi ( July 6th 2025) on this auspicious day let's start listening to th great Epic Mahabharatam.

In this episode the story of king Parikshit is narrated. Parikshit is cursed by a Munikumaran that Parikshit would die by being bitten by a poisonous Snake called Thakshakan on the 7th day from then.

what was the reason for that curse?

Ramayanam and Mahabharatam are the two great Epics of our country. they teach us the lessons of life and act as a guide to refer whenever we have a dilemma about what is right and what is wrong.

As a humble effort I am starting a journey of narrating Mahabharatam as much as possible in a simple narrative style. the idea is to introduce young minds to our great culture and epics so that they get a chance to explore more and delve into these epics.

I am not an expert to know the literary essence of this Epic. but as a person who has been listening to the stories of Mahabharatam from our elders and from books I am confident to share with you what I enjoyed as a child and also an elder person. let us embark on this mega project and travel together exploring the vista these stories show. hariom. this is Rajee patti telling you Mahabharatam.

it's a well known story of Kalinga nartanam . The kids were jubilant to hear about the little Krishna subduing the great Snake Kalinga.

This is very well known story of Sri Krishna. Once Indra was proud of being the provider of rain and thought he deserves the special yagam and pooja offered by the Vrundavan people. But Krishna felt Indra needs to know that every Devatha has a duty and they inturn are controlled by mone other than Sri Vishnu. Krishna requested Nandagopa to offer the pooja to Govardhan Giri as it is the mountain with dense forests which provides rain harnessing the rain bearing clouds .. people accordingly offered pooja to the Govardhan mountain. Indra became angry and heavy downpour of rain started and last for 7 days. What happened later? Let's find out along with Bhamathi a five year old ardent fan of Kadhai neram.
