It’s Friday, so David Waldman packs 5 days of punditry into our two hour sack: Senate passed a short-term spending bill, Congress cleared it, by suspending the rules. Thanks goes to Democrats without whom nothing could be possible. Ecuador is letting go of its pesky democracy in order to take on the threat of the drug gangs that they had packed into leaky prisons following neighboring El Salvador letting go of its pesky democracy in order to take on the threat of the drug gangs that they had packed into leaky prisons. Their presidents are becoming dictators, but also are becoming very popular with their terrified citizenry so... Donald Trump just wishes he had a hellhole like that to campaign in. Donald is detestable, he’s demented, he’s delusional, he’s despicable, he’s deeee-plorable! Trump should check out Oklahoma, where any person who is of Hispanic descent is a terrorist and children pretending to be animals risk suspension… and impoundment. Rural counties embrace local militias to assuage their fears... or because they fear the militias? Militias there are only a minute away from becoming a primary law enforcement and military force. Don’t freak out though, it can’t happen here. Remember January 6? Good, because there are people out there trying to make that difficult. Remember COVID? Too bad, more reminders are heading your way. Remember all of the pending criminal and civil cases against Donald Trump? That’s ok, we have people out there to handle that. Ace KITM Correspondent Rosalyn MacGregor reports that some of the Michigan Gop have voted that they are the real original Michigan Republican Party, although some others have voted that they were earlier, as if they all were competing Asian restaurants. This must make bumping into each other down in the breakroom awkward.
