David Waldman and Greg Dworkin returned to this morning’s KITM with the very latest in news and punditry. So, if you had that in the office pool, congratulations. Another primary down, (ok, the last one was a caucus) another set of losers. Ok, they’re all losers, but who’s the biggest loser this time? Some say Nikkki Haley blew it. Some say that, allowing for her lower vote total, Haley did just fine. Donald Trump begs to differ. Sure, Donald Trump can be a pretty poor loser, but he really is a horrible winner. Donald Trump shown that he does meet the criteria of his voting base, which is that his name is “Donald Trump”. This might not be enough to clinch the presidency however, in fact it could work against him in the general election. Joe Biden likes how it’s all going. More and more, so does the American public. President Joe Biden certainly has a lot more support than the generic Democrat, even when the generic Democrat has a name. The group most disappointed with last night’s results is the media invested in a horse race, who will now spend their time broadcasting fact checks to the only side who cares. You’d think that the White House pharmacy connected to Trump’s weight and health claims would be pretty hinky, and you’d be right. You would not be surprised to find out that the Oklahoma superintendent who accused teacher unions of turning public schools into Epstein Island hired the head of “Libs of TikTok” to review schoolbooks. You would guess that January 6 insurrectionists had cased the escape routes out of the Capitol well ahead of the event. You might not expect Texas to provoke a border war with the United States government, however.
