In this episode of Korea 101, we talk about what we know or what we THINK we know about the K-Pop industry. As K-Pop becomes more widespreading, we realize that it is a topic we should discuss. All three of us have experience of being a K-Pop fan (or stan) and have heard many things about the entertainment industry, both positive and negative. These are solely opinions based on our personal thoughts and experiences, so please do not take our word for it.

This was a heavy topic for us to talk about, and we assume it may be for some of our listeners. In this episode, we talk about meeting the beauty standards and how these standards in Korea may compare to those of America. We also talk about our experiences with various types of diets to lose weight or somehow work towards the body image we wish to achieve. 

Body positivity is embracing the physical appearance of oneself, regardless of society's standards and expectations. We completely agree with the concept of body positivity, and as you may tell, it is something we are still working to achieve. We are growing to understand that there are so many more factors that define us as individuals than just weight or body shape, and we wish that our listeners would feel the same about themselves.

We wish that our listeners would be able to listen to this episode solely to relate and reflect on their personal experiences.

All three members are 17, becoming legal adults in less than a year (although fully aware that the legal age to drink/smoke is 21 in the state they reside), and thought it might be a topic that would eventually be relevant to them, since they would be leaving for college soon.

We understand different people live under different circumstances and may have different says on the topic, and we respect every person's view.
