In our lead story on KALAM ASTRO, we highlight the groundbreaking work of the James Webb Space Telescope since its launch last year.

From capturing the deepest infrared views of the early universe to studying exoplanets, we discuss some of JWST's most significant observations so far.

We cover JWST's discovery of the oldest and most distant black hole ever seen, shining light on the early formation of the universe's first massive objects.

Shifting gears, our third story takes us into a conversation about contacting potential alien civilizations.
We look at the "Golden Record" attached to Voyager spacecraft with images and sounds of Earth and ponder if such a message bottle would really work.

Finally, in Stargazing Tips, we provide details about the upcoming Full Wolf Moon shining high in the sky over the UAE on January 25th, along with the best locations and times for lunar viewing.

On this episode of KALAM ASTRO, we discuss the latest news and missions in space exploration.

You will look at NASA's Peregrine lunar lander mission which unfortunately crashed into Earth during its descent to the Moon's surface and you will get to  analyze what went wrong and what lessons NASA have learned.

Next, we dive into NASA's ambitious plans to return samples from Mars in their Mars Sample Return mission.

From selecting the best landing sites to ensuring sample integrity, we cover the challenges and goals of this critical sample retrieval operation.

For our third story, we discuss NASA's IXPE telescope and how its first images are helping researchers maximize findings on elusive stellar objects known as 'microquasars'.

The telescope provided a new look at black holes and their energetic jets.

Finally, in Beginners Corner, we provide recommendations for the top 3 entry-level telescopes for stargazers just starting out.

Whether you want something compact or more advanced, we'll highlight the best options to ignite your passion for observing the night sky.

We begin by discussing the important delegations that visited the Sharjah Academy for Astronomical, Space Sciences and Technology over the past week.
What collaborations and partnerships were in focus?

In other news, the Hubble Space Telescope has paused science operations due to a gyroscope issue.
We'll explore what this means for the aging yet incredibly productive observatory.

SpaceX's ambitious Starship heavy-lift rocket could help enable a startup's plan to beam clean energy from space. Tune in to learn how orbital solar power collection may become viable.

As interest in Mars exploration grows, experts note guidelines are needed for responsible Red Planet development.
We will discuss proposed principles for sustainable Martian research.

We start by examining the exoplanet 55 Cancri e, a super-Earth that may be capable of supporting life despite being very close to its parent star.

What can this tell us about habitability?

Shifting to enormous cosmic discoveries, we discuss the largest structure of ionized hydrogen ever observed - a massive 'swimming pool' spanning over a million light years.

Up next, we explore the Boomerang Nebula, a place so cold it makes deep space seem tropical. What allows this nebula to achieve temperatures below absolute zero?

For our space trivia segment, listeners will enjoy learning some amusing and intriguing facts about living in microgravity from astronauts themselves.

We open this episode discussing the shocking near-miss a NASA satellite had with space debris - and how the close encounter was even riskier than initially thought.

Just how much danger do these orbiting objects pose?

Then we shift our focus to new research on Saturn's ocean moon Enceladus.
Scientists say the subsurface sea could be capable of supporting life.
What hints have they uncovered about potential habitats on this tiny world?

Staying on the theme of space sustainability, we look at India's ambitious goal to achieve debris-free space missions by 2030.
How do they plan to mitigate orbital trash going forward?

In an eye-opening segment, We will explain how 41,000 years ago, Earth was bombarded by high levels of cosmic radiation due to our planet's weakened magnetic field at the time.

What does this teach us about space radiation risks?

We wrap up charting the path ahead for space exploration while addressing environmental impacts and crew safety.

From the moon to Mars, how can we explore responsibly?
