Father Patrick Killilea, a priest of the same order as St. Damien of Molokai, talks with the Hawaii Catholic Herald about what it's like living in Kalaupapa, the remote peninsula on a small Hawaiian island where people suffering from Hansen's disease (formerly known as leprosy) were forcibly sent to all the way through the mid-20th century. Today there are a small number of Hansen's disease patients still living there.
