“Learning to Live” reminds us that through Jesus we are freed from condemnation and welcomed into God’s family. The Holy Spirit teaches us to live free, empowered, led, and loved as we depend on His strength, turn from sin, and take practical steps of obedience. Even through suffering, we can come honestly to our Father, trust His faithful care, and find hope in the promise of sharing Christ’s glory.
In “More Than Forgiven,” we explore Romans 6:1–23 and discover how Jesus gives us both forgiveness and a new life. God’s grace frees us from sin’s rule and empowers us to live for Him. Join us as we learn what it means to be made new, live free, and receive God’s gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
In Romans 5:12–21, we discover how Adam’s disobedience brought sin and death into the world and how Jesus’ obedience brings forgiveness and new life. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus offers us a restored relationship with God and hope beyond death. This message invites us to receive God’s abundant grace through faith, turn from sin, and take practical steps toward healing and obedience. What sin broke in Adam, grace restores in Jesus.
In Romans 3:9–31, Paul confronts us with an uncomfortable truth: none of us is good enough to make ourselves right with God. Yet the gospel announces that God offers the righteousness we lack as a free gift of grace through faith in Jesus. “Made Right by Grace” invites us to stop comparing, stop performing, and trust the One who paid it all.
Romans 2 reveals that we can remain close to the Father’s house while becoming distant from His heart. Like the older brother in Jesus’ parable, we may recognize sin in others while hiding behind our own morality, religious performance, and self-righteousness. Yet no record of good works can put God in our debt or replace the inward transformation only His Spirit can accomplish. The Father lovingly pursues both rebellious children and resentful rule-keepers, inviting us to lay down our pride, receive His mercy, and share His joy when the lost come home.
Romans 1:18–32 takes us into the “far country,” where humanity exchanges the Creator for created things and discovers that sin’s promise of freedom leads to bondage. Like the father in Jesus’ story of the prodigal son, God gives us freedom to choose while allowing our choices to carry real consequences. Yet the gospel announces that the Father has not stopped watching the road: through Jesus, His grace invites us to turn toward home. We do not have to remain where our choices have taken us—God’s grace will meet us on the road and begin making us new.
Many of us spend our lives trying to prove ourselves, overcome our failures, or earn God’s acceptance. In Romans 1:1–17, Paul announces better news: the Gospel is God’s power through Jesus to forgive our sin, restore our relationship with God, and give us a new identity received by faith. Because we belong to Christ and are loved by God, obedience becomes a response to grace rather than an attempt to earn it. Through Christ, we are made right; through His Spirit, we are being made new; and from first to last, we live by faith.
