For the first time in a decade North Melbourne has come out on top against Essendon, following a gritty 12-point victory at Marvel Stadium.

It was a sloppy affair under the roof, however North remained in control for the first three quarters and, despite a late challenge from the Bombers, it would ultimately be enough to seal victory.

Veteran Luke Parker and young gun Finn O’Sullivan lead the charge for the Roos, while Zane Duursma kicked a game high three goals.
