It's always an honor to have back with us musician and composer Kardia Joi. Today's healing journey is encompassed in the song, "Love That Will Not Leave Me Blind." It starts with the journey of her past coming back to her and being told that someone didn't believe her. The pain and gaslighting that comes with that moment resonates with all of us trauma survivors as we are attacked by perpetrators and well-meaning yet deceived others over and over again in the Christian community. She was sent to an unknown perpetrator to tell what she knew, adding to the distress of all that was coming against her. In the midst, God was moving in revealing truth in the midst of her confusion. She didn't know who to trust, didn't know who to go to, didn't know where God was in it all and how trustworthy He was or wasn't in that whole process. Kardia opens her story to us with great vulnerability and hope. Hear how God ministers and answers her questions. God did not leave her blind.
