Where the Fruit Falls is an epic narrative chronicling four generations of a family across the twentieth century. The novel centers on a young aboriginal woman, Brigid Devlin and her daughters Maggie and Victoria.

Brigid leaves her home following a willy wagtail to her one true love. Her journey takes her across diverse and changing landscapes showing her her country and the lands of her kin but also reveals the hate and fear that has torn those families apart. As Brigid continues to walk in search of love, family and identity she must also discover the connections that have always existed inside herself...
