A 21-year-old Wisdom Torgah has been stabbed to death by Bright Shito at Akufo Krodua in the Awutu Senya West District in the Central Region for trying to woo the girlfriend of Bright Shito to another man

Two persons have been reportedly killed by wild elephants who invaded some communities in the North East Region, on Wednesday, August 25. According to a report by the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), the elephants were seen going to Soanvusi, Nasuan through Tuna and to Yankazia.

A mother and her two unidentified children were found dead in their room in Akyem Ntronang, in the North Birim District in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The bodies were discovered on Tuesday after a bad odor around the area became unbearable to residents. But the cause of death is unknown while investigations are ongoing.

Police at Savelugu in the Northern Region are holding a 43-year-old suspect for attempted rape and assault. The police say the victim, Zarawu Haruna, who hails from Savelugu-Wanzam Fong, reported at their station with multiple wounds and blood oozing from her back and other parts of her body. They said the victim, accompanied by her father, Haruna Awudu, narrated that she was about to take her bath when her father’s younger brother called her into his room. The suspect, Tanko Ibrahim Awudu, was said to have tried to rape her by first trying to strip the victim of the cloth she had around her.

Two women have been hit by stray bullets at Tutuka, a suburb of Obuasi in the Ashanti Region. An eyewitness said some gun-wielding men shot sporadically on their way to bury the Dagomba chief of the area. The mourners were on their way to the Kyekyewere cemetery when the incident occurred.
