Leader of New Life Kingdom Chapel International, Stephen Akwasi, has been granted a ¢100,000 bail by an Accra Circuit Court. He has pleaded not guilty to the charge of causing fear and panic. Mr Akwasi had earlier been remanded for five days after his arrest in connection with Shatta Wale’s hoax shooting.

There was drama at Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region after a suspect thief, identified as Isaac Owusu, was busted for stealing wele (cow skin). The suspect, said to be a 28-year-old, clandestinely entered the Agbogbloshie market in the Kwahu West Municipality to commit the act.

Two toddlers have suffocated to death at Alajo in the Greater Accra Region. The two were found dead in a Benz vehicle with registration number GT 8188-Y parked at a mechanic shop for servicing in the area at about 7:00 pm on Thursday.

Three armed suspected robbers have attacked students, passengers, and drivers on the Akatiso-Bonsu Nkwanta road. The attack, according to reports, took place in the early hours of Wednesday morning, October 13, 2021. The robbers made away with mobile phones, money, and other valuable items, belonging to the passengers.

The Majority Leader of Parliament says despite strong support for the Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values bill 2021 before the House, MPs needed to ensure the protection of the rights of all citizens.
