Three armed suspected robbers have attacked students, passengers, and drivers on the Akatiso-Bonsu Nkwanta road. The attack, according to reports, took place in the early hours of Wednesday morning, October 13, 2021. The robbers made away with mobile phones, money, and other valuable items, belonging to the passengers.

The Majority Leader of Parliament says despite strong support for the Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values bill 2021 before the House, MPs needed to ensure the protection of the rights of all citizens. Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu speaking at a press briefing held at Parliament on Tuesday stated that all legislators’ opinions clearly support the anti-LGBTQ+ bill.

Some Christian leaders have submitted a memorandum to Parliament on the Proper Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill that is still under consideration by the legislative body. The Church of Pentecost, whose Chairman, Apostle Eric Nyamekye as well as Apostle Dr. Aaron Ami-Narh, President of the Apostolic Church, Ghana, were part of the delegation that gathered 15,000 signatures to express strong support for the bill.

Voting is scheduled to be held later today, Thursday, October 7, on the first female Chief Executive nominee for the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA). Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Okaikoi North Constituency Elizabeth Tawiah Sackey will replace Mohammed Nii Adjei Sowah as the mayor of Accra if she gets two-thirds majority after voting at the AMA headquarters.
