KataHaifisch

The human blink is controlled by the subconscious. The reflexive closing movement of the eyelids clean and protect the eyes. When we blink, the visual centre in the brain is regulated. Therefore, we do not consciously perceive this whole process and the briefly reduced incidence of light. On average, this procedure is conducted 10-15 times per minute. In moments of great excitement, joy or concentration, we can blink significantly less often. Due to the excessive focus, the blinking becomes a consciously controlled process for a certain amount time. The first Joe Carl EP on KataHaifisch contains two tracks. Both are well suited for a club setting. Strong basses create a dancing mood and hypnotic leads a dreamy atmosphere. In both songs you can hear the unique style of Joe Carl. It’s defined through an exciting sound design, dynamic arrangement and little acoustic details. Let yourself fall into the music and enjoy the magic of „This Is Why We Don‘t Blink“. Thanks for your attention <3

📀 Wolfsbesuch 📀

✍️ „Once upon a time, a wolf visited a city named Wireless Hole. He was a mean and angry wolf not really nice to others. When he encountered a really nice fox who was playing along with his pan flute, the angry and mean wolf saw his chance and grapped the pan flute, threw it on the ground and stepped on it like a mean and angry wolf would typically do. He then gathered his fellow wolves the so called „wolf-gang“ and danced his mean and angry wolf dance. This was a very sad day. For all of us.“

But stop, what are we hearing?

Sheep in the woods, bravely picking up the broken pan flute and forming a clan.

That was not the end, ooh no.“

ihren Lauf nehmen lassen.

Sutera will be part of of a new compilation: Katermukke & With You: Rumours by the Lake which is a unique collaboration in sound between Berlin and Cape Town. The compilation speaks to the soundtrack of this festival, curating a dynamic spectrum of melodic house & techno.

Sutera is a dreamy and groovy melodic house production based solely on Yannek's recordings, samples and patches. For this he was out in nature, kitchen and his closets to keep the sound as diverse and organic as possible. It's this attention to detail and obsession with everything from recording to mastering that makes this track special and so unique.

Freshly hatched and fancifully feathered, DJ and producer Yannek Maunz supplies the world with deep, melodic and synth-based melodic house beats he cooks up in his shambolic bedroom studio in Berlin Kreuzberg. From his very first release on, he managed to manifest a signature sound made up of analog synths, organic percussion, and a knack for memorable melodies. Over the last two years, this sound has been continuously pushing its way through dancing crowds and streaming platforms. Despite a steady stream of releases on established labels like Parquet, 3000°, Stil Vor Talent and Katermukke, he co-founded his own label YION in 2020. Here, he not only releases music under his own name but also with his friends and long term collaborators Felix Raphael, Brascon and Johanson.

📀 Flanko & Clap Codex Live @ Symbiotikka [KitKat] 📀

Ladies and Gentlemen, we want to present you our tenth mystic tale. This time we dive deep into the core of matter. Everything we know is composed of atoms. Neutrons, protons and electrons combine in different amounts to form elements. Together we want to explore the mystic sounds of the two elements Radon and Xenon…

Image design and composition is probably one of the most fundamental forms of artistic expression. This field of art is almost infinite in its possible manifestations. An image can be created with highly complex computer programmes or with the simplest of means. In the digital cosmos, each pixel can be configured exactly according to the artists ideas and wishes. In contrast, impressive works of art can also be created with natural materials such as stones, twigs or with coal. The ability to compose images is as complicated as it is simple. It depends on the artist and his creative intention. The first single by Atric & Frida Darko on KataHaifisch is highly individual and absolutely unique. The song tells a story about the diversity and beauty of colours. Over the course of the 6-minute playtime each colour gets its well-deserved attention. Meanwhile, various synths playing their catchy melodies and create a moody atmosphere, which unfolds its potential on headphones as well as in an open air or club setting. Thank you for this piece of art <3
