At the start of the new year we present you the EP "Birdhouse" from our Mexican friends Ykonosh & Mundai. Their unmistakable sound impressed us from the very first minute and we are very pleased to collaborate again.

The release consists of two original tracks, which stand out due to their characteristic vocals and their bouncy groove structure. The tracks are rounded off by exciting remixes from the hands of coss, Amorati, Omeria and Daniel Hokum. As always, the artwork was contributed by our graphic magician Kilian Van de Water and the mastering was done by Haunted Water.

We wish everybody a good and healthy start into the new year and look forward to everything new that is to come.

Schweiß & Eisen

Ich liege keuchend auf einer schwer behängten Hantelbank. Schweißtropfen laufen mir über die Stirn und ich beiße ein weiteres Mal die Zähne zusammen und umschließe einmal mehr mit meinen verschwitzten Händen die Eisenstange. Langsam lasse ich die Langhantel bis kurz vor meine Brust absinken, dann führe ich sie mit einem kontrollierten Stoß wieder in die entgegengesetzte Richtung. Nach Beendigung meines letzten Satzes stehe ich auf und lockere meine Gelenke und Sehnen. Dabei beobachte ich mich selbst im Spiegel. Langsam aber sicher sind Fortschritte erkennbar. Ich habe merklich an Kraft und Muskelmasse zugelegt und Fett abgebaut. Was für ein gutes Gefühl zu spüren, zu sehen und zu erproben, dass sich die harte Arbeit auch auszahlt. Ich fühle mich einfach fit, gesund und glücklich. Jede abgeschlossene Trainingseinheit ist wie ein kleiner Etappensieg, auf dem langen und schwerwiegendem Weg der noch vor mir liegt. Ich bin fest davon überzeugt, dass sich die Mühen auszahlen werden. Man darf nur nicht aus den Augen verlieren, wofür man diese Strapazen und das Zeitinvestment auf sich nimmt.

Heute, am vorletzten Tag des Jahres 2021 haben wir Nik Bøder auf KataHaifisch zu Gast. Dieser Hildesheimer Waldläufer & DJ ist schon seit etlichen Jahren in der lokalen und überregionalen Musikszene tätig. Als Teil des Woodlands Kollektivs veranstaltet Nik eigene Partys und Events. Darüber hinaus bauen er und seine Crew Stages für eine Vielzahl von Festivals auf und ab und an auch mal einen ganzen Club um. Nik Bøder verfügt neben seinem handwerklichen Talent auch über ein außerordentliches Fingerspitzengefühl beim auflegen. Bei seiner musikalischen Ausrichtung lässt sich Nik von allen möglichen Subgenres und Strömungen inspirieren und beflügeln. Abhängig vom Setting, Uhrzeit und persönlicher Contenance wird es mal technoider, dann wieder melodischer und zeitweise gibt es auch mal etwas House zu hören. Dieser Podcast wartet mit einem feucht-fröhlichen Groove, ausgelassener Stimmung und einer spielerischen Leichtigkeit auf.
