While this Memorial Day Weekend didn't have too much karting, it did have quite a bit of racing! And with all racing, there's a lot of talking points to draw from.

TONIGHT -- CALL-IN TO JOIN THE DISCUSSION AT THE NUMBER BELOW FOR SEGMENTS 2 & 3!

SPECIAL GUESTS: INDYCAR Driver Callum ILOTT, Race Factory USA's Race LIBERANTE, and Arrow McLaren SP Competition Director and MPG Motorsports Owner Billy VINCENT

Beyond catching up on news from the past week, this week's KC Happy Hour will focus in on a couple of hot debate topics in motorsports, specifically one point in particular:

    - Where should a motorsport series fall in terms of entertainment // spectacle vs. purism // history

The Indy 500 threw a red flag with 5 laps to go to give the race a chance to end under green, albeit taking frontrunner Marcus Ericsson's 3+ second lead away in favor of a 2-lap shootout. NASCAR, on the flipside, has embraced a push towards spectacle when it comes to their racing product over the last two decades, and F1 hasn't modified their race formats all too much beyond Sprint race weekends, but they have definitely leaned into storylines through the media and shows.

What are your thoughts? Join us tonight!

    TONIGHT!

We'll be covering a handful of news segments that have popped up over the last week, including a preview for 3 different regional series' opening weekends, and the most promising Save Palm Beach International Raceway campaign to date.

We've also got some of America's top Pro Shifter drivers in AJ Myers, Danny Formal, and Jake French on the show, as they will help breakdown what it's really like in going back and forth from spec to open racing. This is the case currently with the Shifter races being split between 4 SKUSA // KZ (open builder) format races, and 4 ROK Shifter (spec format) races. With the status of X30 racing, and more specifically engine parity, a hot topic on our show weekly, these guys will help give their perspective on having tried both sides.

We'll also be breaking down some of the key corners and sections of GoPro Motorplex in anticipation of this weekend's club race warmup, and of course, next week's US Pro Kart Series event.

Lastly, we'll be dropping the first teaser trailer for our new, free-to-watch YouTube series, KC Paddock Pass!
