KC102.1 Staff Meeting

The KC 102.1 Staff is constantly being asked when are you going to flip to Christmas music. You can make your guess, assuming the contest is still going on. Learn more about that here. kc1021.com/when-will-we-flip-the-switch-to-christmas

Jen is in sports mom/coach mode, Jacqui had a lovely time at her nephew's wedding, and Natalie is preparing for her son's performance in Hairspray and college.

The KC 102.1 Staff records a short Staff Meeting because Natalie is waiting on a call from the owners of the radio station and the fire alarms are apparently about to be tested. Natalie participated in a charity drag show, the Ladies of KC 102.1 are excited for their kids to be headed back to school, and it's been a pleasant week weather wise in Kansas City.

It's back to school time for the KC 102.1 Staff. Natalie's son and Jacqui's daughter are trying out for the school plays leads to a discussion about being in high school theater. Jen and Natalie are having great success with their respective weight loss programs.

Jen is using Slim4Life, while Natalie is using Kansas City Secret For Weight Loss.

The KC 102.1 Staff deals with the struggles of the school year. Natalie might have too many streaming services. Jen enjoyed the Greek Food Festival while Natalie enjoyed her first trip to the Kansas City Renaissance Festival minus her son losing his cellphone. Natalie has never seen Dumb and Dumber.

Keep in mind that on Tuesday, September 26th, KC 102.1 will be hosting the annual Variety KC Request-A-Thon to benefit Variety KC. Learn more here: kc1021.com/variety-kc-request-a-thon

Even though we haven't flipped to Christmas music yet, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at KC 102.1. The Staff filmed a commercial talking about Christmas music. The Staff does a brief recap of the Variety Request-A-Thon. Jacqui had to deal with toilet issues both at home AND work. Jen is excited for her niece's wedding and her daughter's homecoming. Natalie has knee issues and her first unpleasant experience at Arrowhead. Joey's brother got married. Of course, the Staff talks about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

This episode was recorded on Jen Johnson’s Birthday! Jen and Jacqui share Westport parking lot stories. The ladies of KC 102.1 prepare for their kids to go back to school. Natalie’s mom calls during the middle of the episode. The ladies chat about their childhood Barbies.

There was a water leak on a floor above where the station is located. Nothing harmed KC 102.1 but Natalie's office suffered some damage. Jacqui has a new dog. Jen's daughter has a learner's permit. KC 102.1 just started our Virtual Ticket Hunt to find a pair of tickets to see Taylor Swift perform live at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. We were playing Taylor Swift at the time we were recording, so we took a random call during the recording of the podcast.

Jacqui will be broadcasting her show live from Molle Toyota on June 29th as part of the HeroFund USA Day of Giving. For more information, click here.

The KC 102.1 Staff Meeting is back after Jacqui Lucky wins the Certificate of Merit for Large Market Radio Talent (Non-Morning) and KC 102.1 wins first place for best promotion with the 9 To 5 No Repeat Workday at the Missouri Broadcasters Association. Jen went to the Big Slick KC press conference. Nobody seems that excited about the summer.

Jacqui Lucky brought the KC 102.1 gifts to celebrate everything they have done for her while she was in a Masonic group. Jacqui is nominated for the Missouri Broadcasters Association award for Best Air Talent excluding Morning Drive while the 9 to 5 No Repeat Workday is nominated for best promotion. Jen is coaching track and field. Natalie is excited that her brother has moved back to Kansas City.

Right before we recorded today, Jen brought in the Big Dozier sandwich from Zarda and Hy-Vee and it smelled delicious (and Jen said it tasted delicious too), Jen told a story about her daughter dealing with her first breakup while Natalie is attempting to get herself back into the dating field. Jacqui brought it homemade treats to celebrate the Staff's 7th anniversary together on KC 102.1. Natalie has the Staff play Rose and Thorn.
