KCLR's The Saturday Show with Edward Hayden

Brendan Corcoran and Ger Cody join Edward to talk drama theatre. Specifically the Lake Productions 'The Quiet Land' by Malachy Mckenna. It will be in the Thomastown Concert Hall form the 13-14th of August. They chat to Edward about the production, their characters and how the story reflects rural Ireland and friendship in such a setting. 

Following his chat with Bill Cuddihy at Cois Nois, Edward chats to the centre's manager Mary Doolan. Mary takes Edward through the centre for a tour of the rooms and hallways as they dive deep into the different services and commodities that are available in the new centre HQ.  

Edward travels to the newly opened Cois Noir Cancer Support Centre in Kilkenny and chats to Bill Cuddihy, the chairperson of the group. 
Bill chats about the move of the centre and how important the work that the support group provides to those affected by the disease. 

Olga Barry is in studio to fill Edward in on all the details of the upcoming Kilkenny Arts Festival. Olga spreads the words on all there is to know about the festival ,from outdoor theatre to contemporary dance, the festival is dedicated to staging events of the highest calibre, thrilling audiences of all kinds. 

Aisling Delaney from Equal Vibes joins Edward to tell all about ABLE-FEST : An all inclusive msuic and arts festival which since 2018, has  welcomed over 15,000 people of all abilities to a wonderful time of pure belonging and fun.

Dee Gibney, Katherine Hession, Mary O’ Brien and co. talk to Edward at the Watergate theatre in anticipation for their upcoming performance of Calendar Girls. They chat about the work behind the scenes and the effort it has taken to getting the show ready for the lights of Kilkenny.  

Edward calls on Shirely to fill us in about the Carlow Garden Festival, which runs from Saturday July 25th to Sunday August 2nd,
the festival opens the gates to some of the most beautiful gardens, garden centres, historic estates, forest parks and community garden. 
Plus they talk about the Hosepipe ban and what it could mean for your gardens and how best to manage it. 

Irish country music star Derek Ryan joins Edward to chat about his upcoming shows at the Kilkenny Country Music festival, and the Ballykeefe Amphitheatre. Plus they look back at his week long special shows 'Derek in the Sun' in Torremolinos Spain and how fun the shows abroad can be. 

Away from her palliative care scene, nurse Mags Bowen chats to Edward about her work as a psychotherapist. They discuss the topic of   'Summer Sadness'  and why the lovely weather may be a tough time for people and what you can do to tackle such difficulties.  

Director Christine Scarry and actresses Claire Henriques and Sarah Brennan join Edward to chat about their upcoming production of Calendar Girls. They chat about the joys of working with large cast, how the show is constructed and much more.
