In this episode, Derek is on the eve of his 13th birthday! He's pretty excited about that, for sure.

We've got our usual Fortnite discussion at the top of the show, of course, with the focus on the new scoped revolver. Derek also talks about the new glider re-deploy item as well.

In the Animal Segment, tonights focus is on the Poisonous Dart frog. This frog does NOT sound like it would be much fun to run into. If you touch it, it deploys poison that will ruin your day. Frankly, I'm not sure where he finds these interesting animals, but I've never heard of this one, so I get to learn as well.

In the final segment of the show, we learn about something called "paramotoring". I've never heard of this, but if you head on over to www.kineticchaos.com, I'm going to put a video into the show notes so we can see what it looks like. From our discussion in the show, it sounds like an absolute blast!

At the very end of the show I popped a question on Derek that he wasn't aware of. I asked him what one of the biggest challenges of being a seventh grader is. After a little banter, he settled on being "yourself". I couldn't agree with him more. We also get into how important it is to talk with people, likely adults, about the things that are happening to you as you change in your early teen years. It can be a rough time for kids and we want to encourage anyone and everyone that feels like they may need to talk about things to reach out to someone you trust.
