Kazakhstan has recently experienced a widespread outbreak of civil protests across the nation, stirring up mass destruction, violence, and their largest crisis since 1991. The Human Rights Watch has said that Kazakh security forces used excessive force on at least four occasions, including lethal force such as shooting at protesters and rioters. KCSB’s Grace Kish looks into the timeline of the unrest and the response by the Kazak leadership.

CalFresh is a federally-funded food assistance program that is available to a variety of eligible U.S. residents.
