Hundreds of peaceful demonstrators turned out for "Santa Barbara Marches in Solidarity with Standing Rock." The event on November 19, 2016, started with speeches at the Santa Barbara Courthouse and was followed by a march down State Street to Stearn's Wharf.

Tribal dancers and drummers performed along the route. SBPD police officers escorted the crowd of around 300+ demonstrators chanting "Water is Life" and other slogans. The event was organized by Keep It Clean SB.
