Superintendent Dr. Frank Morgan's update on the January 9th School Board's Organizational Meeting, held at the District Office at 10 a.m. Topics include: the election of new board officers, November Financial Reports, adopted Legislative Positions, Ad Hoc Committee Report, discussion on how schedule change decisions are made, the departure of DME Principal Ginger Catoe & new interim Principal Linda Hall, KCSD's Teacher Career Fair on Jan. 27 and Board Appreciation Month.  Our next Board meeting will be on January 16th at 6:30 p.m. #myKCSD

Topics include: the approved 2018-19 Calendar, Legislative Positions, a Construction Update, the Financial Report, Fundraising for Zemp Stadium construction, the KCSD-KC Ad Hoc Committee, the Groundbreaking for ATEC on Friday Dec. 15th, the Christmas Basketball Tournament and school Christmas Music programs.  Our next Board meeting will be on January 9th at 10 am.

Topics include: Recognition of Invista for donation to KC Robotics Team, Report on USC's Collaborative Project for Improving Student Behavior, 2018-19 School Calendar, Construction Update, Legislative Positions, ATEC Groundbreaking on Dec. 15th, Powderpuff Football on Dec. 1, and the Annual Mid-Carolina Basketball Classic on Dec. 19-20 (featuring the boys and girls teams from Camden, Lugoff-Elgin, North Central high schools & Laurence Manning Academy.)  Our next Board meeting will be on December 12th.

Topics include Financial Audit, "Read to Succeed" Legislation, EOC Results, Construction, "One Book, Everyone Reads" Author visit with Joelle Charbonneau, NCHS & LEHS Marching Bands performance at the State Competition and Veterans Day.  Our next Board meeting will be on November 28th.

Topics include a Second Learner Language Report, Policy Revisions, WorkKeys Results, Construction Update, an Ad Hoc Committee Report from Todd McDonald, Lugoff Elementary's 50th Anniversary, the Kershaw County Read-In in Zemp tomorrow, playoffs for Volleyball & Cross Country, Saturday's Upper State Band Competitions (NCHS & CHS at Gaffney, LEHS at Boiling Springs) and the Camden High Hall of Fame.  Our next Board meeting will be on November 7th.

Topics include an update on Hurricane Irma, recognition of our Fill-A-Bus partners (Fred's Pharmacy, Sonic Drive-In of Camden and Sonic Drive-In of Lugoff), a Construction update, the Opening of School report, a proposed new policy on ticket prices, and the Ad Hoc committee with County Council on funding growth and SROs.  Our next Board meeting will be on Sep. 19th.
