This week we are finally doing another first impressions! We watched the first two episodes of Yumi’s Cells 2 and are enjoying it so far! A lot of kdramas don’t have more then one season so it’s a slightly different experience. The first two episodes were very good and had the same feel as the first season. There were some things we didn’t expect and we are looking forward to see what is gonna happen next!

We are very sorry this episode is a day late, but we are finally talking about the 2022 Kdrama Thirty Nine. We were very excited to watch this drama because there are multiple people we know in it and they did not disappoint. There are so many different aspects that make this show so good and so believable. We are so glad we watched this show and we hope you enjoying listening to our thoughts on it!

We are already half way through our Year Challenge and this is also  the debut of our new graphic! This month we picked from our regions list and decided on Japan. So today we are talking about the 2020 drama Alice in Borderland. If you don’t already know for our 12 month challenge we split it into two categories, 6 genres and 6 regions. This drama is more of thriller which isn’t what we usually watch but we’ve been looking forward to seeing it. This drama is very brutal but has amazing writing and characters. We hope you enjoy listening!

Today we are talking about the 2014 Japanese movie Clover. We picked this movie pretty randomly and didn’t know what to expect going in. We at first thought we were going to love it then it started to go downhill. We talk about a few different things like the characters, pacing, romance, and overall plot. We ended up with a lot more mixed feelings than we thought we would. We hope you enjoy listening to our thoughts!

This week we are talking about the 2021 Japanese drama Promise Cinderella. It’s been awhile since we’ve watched a Jdrama together or talked about one here. This drama was very funny and lighthearted and we had a lot of fun watching it. We enjoyed a bunch of the characters, even though we really hated one of them, and it was an easy watch that wasn’t too serious. We had a lot of fun talking about this show and we hope you enjoy listening!

So this is a very exciting episode because it is our one year anniversary! It’s so hard to believe it’s already been one year since we started this podcast but it has been a very fun year! We have learned a lot this past year and have challenged ourselves a lot along the way but we enjoy it so much. This podcast has become our outlet for sharing our love of Asian dramas and we are so glad that we are able to do that and that we’ve made some amazing friends along the way! We thought it would be fun to talk a little about the behind the scenes of making the podcast and recording and stuff. Also we decided to take a trip down memory lane and talk about our favorite, least favorite, and some other past episodes. We are so glad that we decided to start this podcast and are looking forward to this next year. Also we have a special announcement to make so make sure you listen to the end!

This episode is our final thoughts on the Chinese drama Reset. If you heard our first episode talking about this drama you’d know that we really like it! This drama has a lot of different elements to it and it was always interesting to see what they would do next. In this episode we talk about the pacing, backstories, motive, ending, and more.
